A Little About Me

Hey there, welcome to my little corner of the internet! My name is Wren, and I'm so glad you're here.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behavior, and my passion for animals shapes nearly every part of my life, if I'm being honest. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by how animals think, communicate, and experience the world  from our beloved pets to wildlife and everything in between.

I currently work at an animal shelter, where I'm part of both the behavior and animal care teams. Most of my days are spent helping animals feel safe, understood, and ready for their future homes, whether that means working on behavior plans, enrichment, or simply providing them with compassionate day-to-day care.

When I'm not at the shelter, my life revolves around my own little crew: my dog, Daphne, a pit bull, my two cats, Franklin and Gwen, both domestic shorthairs, and my rabbit, Elle, a silver marten. I met each of them through my work at the shelter, and it didn't take long to realize they were coming home with me. Each has their own little personality and quirks, and living with them has taught me patience, communication, and unconditional love.

Over time, I realized I didn’t just want to work with animals — I wanted to help people understand them better. This blog grew out of that desire: a space to share what I’ve learned, what I’m still learning, and the everyday realities of life with animals. So whether you're looking for behavior insights, practical care tips, or simply a deeper understanding of the animals around you, I hope this space offers guidance, reassurance, and maybe even a new perspective. If you have questions, concerns, or just want to learn something new, you're in the right place. Because when we understand animals better, we care for them better. Thank you for being part of this space  truly. 💛
